Havana, June 18 (ACN) The National Council of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS), made up of young writers and artists from the different provinces, will meet from today until June 21 in Cienfuegos, with debates, visits to historical sites, artistic presentations and much more.
Yasel Toledo Garnache, national president of the AHS, told the Cuban News Agency that this will be a very important moment, because it will allow us to analyze, together with representatives of the different provinces, the operation of the organization during the most recent months and everything project what we want to do in the immediate future.
The Association is immersed in many projects, always trying to be increasingly useful to its members and to society in general, therefore, among the most significant moments will be the critical analysis of communication and cultural programming, and the approval of new creative projects, such as video clips and visual arts exhibitions, which will receive a budget for their completion, he commented.
The AHS, he noted, can be more useful to society in the current context, and this National Council, for example, will serve as a bridge to approve new projects through the Kingdom of this World scholarship, which is a possibility to grant budgets to video clips, documentaries, visual arts exhibitions or other projects by young creators who come to the headquarters from different territories.
The general program in Cienfuegos will cover the analysis of the work of the five AHS publishing houses and the international projection of the organization, as well as exchanges with students from the School of Art and with the Youth Teacher Rosa Campo, better known as the Aunt rosa.
In addition, Toledo Garnache added, historical sites of cultural interest will be visited, the headquarters of the Teatro de Los Elementos group, led by teacher José Oriol González in the municipality of Cumanayagua, the territory’s art school, communities of Escambray, as well as Cuatro Vientos, Crucecitas and other mountainous and urban areas, which the young creators will travel through with their various artistic crusades.
He highlighted that something interesting about this tour is that the members of the young artistic avant-garde will ascend to Pico San Juan, the highest point in the central region of the country, 1,150 meters above sea level, aware that the Art and love for Cuba always unites them.
This will be an opportunity to delve into the very soul of the province, share with residents of the territory and continue providing art, taking advantage of these days to analyze, debate and project the work of the organization, which is currently immersed in many projects and activities to the summer, said the president.
The AHS intends to reach the east of the country, and end its crusades on August 13, in honor of the birthday of Fidel and the Saíz brothers, he concluded.
