Young motorcyclist dies after impact with a police car in Santiago de Cuba

A tragic accident that occurred on Sunday night in Santiago de Cuba has left Elieser Emilio González Zayas, a 27-year-old young man, dead. The motorcyclist collided with a patrol car and, despite undergoing two surgeries, he died on Monday afternoon.

Communicator Yosmany Mayeta shared the news on his Facebook profile, reporting that the young man did not manage to survive the injuries suffered in the accident. His family and friends have expressed their deep pain at the loss.

The incident took place on the Cuabitas highway, a peripheral area of ​​Santiago de Cuba, where González Zayas resided.

According to witnesses, the young man was traveling at high speed when the collision occurred. The impact left González Zayas lying on the street, while the officer behind the wheel of the police vehicle showed signs of great nervousness, needing the intervention of passersby to calm down.

Other accidents in recent days

Other accidents were also reported in Santiago de Cuba on Monday, including one that required the assistance of police, paramedics and firefighters due to a car accident on the highway. Although rumors of possible deaths circulate, authorities have not confirmed this information.

Likewise, in Marianao, Havana, another tragic incident took place on the same Monday, when a young pedestrian was fatally run over by a crane at the intersection of 100th and 51st streets. The images of the accident, shared by Mayeta on Facebook, show the brutality of the event, although they have been pixelated out of respect for the victims.
