Three men were remanded in preventive detention and are being investigated for activities linked to drug sales in the Guadalupe neighborhood and San José neighborhood, north of the city of Santa Fe.

This was ordered by the judge of the Preparatory Criminal Investigation, Celeste Minniti, in a hearing held this Tuesday morning in the courts of the provincial capital.

Two of the accused are father and son, Manuel Antonio and Manuel Alejandro Concina, who are 67 and 47 years old. The other is Bruno Sebastián Knuttzen, 38 years old.

The prosecutor in charge of the investigation is María Laura Urquiza, within the framework of which a total of six people were detained. She charged the two Cocinas and the co-authors with “possession of narcotics for marketing purposes aggravated by the participation of three or more people.” The same crime was attributed to Romina Soledad Rodríguez last week, who had a secondary participation in the events and was released under alternative measures.

Knuttzen was accused of “possession of narcotics for marketing purposes.” Romina María Van Lierde and Fernando Fabián Concina were also charged with this crime and were remanded in preventive detention last week.

Three homes

Urquiza said that the two Cocinas, father and son, are being investigated for having sold narcotics in a house located at Mitre 6,900. “They acted with the collaboration of the woman,” Rodríguez said.

The prosecutor specified that “they were detained in a raid in which nylon bags and glossy papers containing 45.51 grams of cocaine, elements to fragment the drug and $182,380 in cash were found.”

Likewise, the prosecutor detailed that Knuttzen and Van Lierde, who are a couple, were also deprived of their freedom within the framework of a police operation. She stated that “in a house in Vieytes at 3,800, they had in their possession 10 grams of marijuana and 69 of cocaine, as well as a precision scale, a bill counting machine, 329,900 pesos in cash and 30 US dollars.”

Regarding the sixth person investigated, also named Cocina, the MPA official explained that “he was arrested at the home where he lived, in Alvear at 7,600, where the security forces found 45.3 grams of cocaine that he had for sell at retail.”

He added that “in addition to the drugs, which were inside heat-sealed wrappers, items for their division and 785,220 pesos in cash were seized.”

The investigation began with criminal analysis tasks carried out by the Microtrafficking Team of the Attorney General’s Office.

Prisoners

Regarding the preventive detention hearing, the prosecutor indicated that “although the defense of the men who are relatives to each other opposed our request, the judge granted what we requested.” On the other hand, she stated that “based on a prior agreement, the third defendant’s lawyer did not propose alternative measures.”

Urquiza highlighted that “the judge considered that the evidence we presented is sufficient to prove the materiality of the facts and the participation of those investigated with the necessary degree of probability in this stage of IPP.” In addition, she mentioned that “the judge took into account the expected sentences and that the procedural risks were latent.”

On the other hand, Urquiza indicated that “the magistrate considered that, within the framework of the same file, a 59-year-old man – Fernando Concina – and a 33-year-old woman – Van Lierde – are accused, who have been undergoing the process since last week. judicial in preventive detention”. She, in turn, recalled that “there is a sixth defendant –Rodríguez, who is 31 years old–, who was initially detained and currently must comply with rules of conduct.”
