Within the framework of the UNL Bio Program and taking into account the commemoration of World Environment Day, different open innovation competitions called “Ideatón” were held.
This proposal, organized by the Secretariat of Technological Linkage and Innovation in conjunction with the different academic units, seeks to promote collaborative and multidisciplinary work between the different areas of knowledge, which allows reinforcing the skills of the students and enriching knowledge, experiences and skills.
The first Ideathon was held at the headquarters of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, the second in Ciudad Universitaria and the third in the city of Esperanza. The last one will take place on September 27 in Rafaela.
In this framework, the coordinator of the UNL Bio Program, Romina Joris, highlighted the importance of carrying out this type of activities to generate new ideas and projects. To achieve this, we work in a multidisciplinary way, generating synergy at work. For these reasons, the provincial government, through the Ministry of Productive Development, declared the carrying out of these activities to be of general interest.
The work methodology of each Ideathon consisted of the formation of multidisciplinary teams to work on possible solutions to previously disseminated problems of interest.
To do this, they had tutors, materials and tools necessary to capture their idea. Each day culminated with the oral presentation of each team’s proposal, the evaluation of the jury and the awarding of the selected ideas. To do this, the work dynamics, the innovative component, the bio bases for the proposed development and the impact of the ideas presented were taken into account.
The activities were aimed at high school and university students, graduates and entrepreneurs. In total, more than 70 people participated, who formed 15 work teams.
