[ACTUALIZACIÓN] Death occurred at the 21 de Abril Sports Center. Details in the note.
A 19-year-old young man unfortunately lost his life in the heated pool of the 21 de Abril Sports Center, in the city of Puerto Aysén, on the night of this Tuesday, June 18.
The situation occurred around 8 p.m., while swimming classes were taking place in the heated pool of the sports venue, in which more than 20 people participated.
The Carabineros were notified of the event, who were established at the scene, and the Samu unit also attended.
According to the first investigations, the young man had a complication that prevented him from refloating, dying from immersion. Upon the arrival of Samu’s personnel, resuscitation maneuvers were performed, efforts that were unsuccessful.
The prosecutor on duty was informed of the situation, who instructed the attendance of the PDI Homicide Brigade and the Legal Medical Service to remove the body, as well as the subsequent autopsy to precisely determine the cause of death.
