Spies? The unexpected Peruvian visits to Chile training

The Chilean team is counting the hours until its long-awaited debut in the Copa América 2024. La Roja will face Peru on the first date of the group stage in a match that has generated alarm in the neighboring country.

Ricardo Gareca’s time at Blanquirroja has caused his fans to be worried about what he can do with the Everybody’s Team. In fact, during practice this Tuesday in the national bunker the alarms went off about possible spies.

The good results achieved in the first friendlies with Tigre on the bench seem to have the Peruvians very alert. So much so that this afternoon a group of people came to Texas Christian University to watch the practice with cameras in hand, which sparked the rumors.

Chile trains amid rumors of Peruvian spies

Chile had one of its last training sessions before the debut in the Copa América against Peru this Tuesday. La Roja is fine-tuning details before its debut in the tournament, but things got complicated this afternoon due to alleged spies.

After the arrival of La Roja at TCU, a group of Peruvians raised the alarm among the Chilean fans present at the scene. With cameras in hand, they walked around the place under the watchful eye of those who became suspicious.

Journalist Marco Escobar managed to capture the moment when those targeted as spies were waiting for the Chilean team. And although they were not removed from the place by any means, the feeling that was left was that they were there for something more than just recording.

This tactic is not new and there have been several episodes in which it has been used by different coaches. We will have to wait now to know if they really were or if it was nothing more than the shock of those who came to accompany La Roja.

The truth for now is that in history our country surpasses its rival from Friday. 46 wins, 14 draws and 24 losses are the balance left by the Pacific Classic, which is hours away from experiencing a new chapter.

Chile is training with everything to make its debut in the 2024 Copa América. La Roja does not want to fade and is excited by the help of Ricardo Gareca to make history in the United States, where it has already known how to win titles.
