The discussion of the education reform in its last debate was not scheduled on today’s agenda in the Senate plenary session. As it is, the project will sink due to lack of time.
The plenary session, again, will be led by the opposition, by opposition statute. Although it could be scheduled for tomorrow, the text would have to adhere to the project approved by the House, because the Senate would not have time to conciliate.
Because it is a statutory reform, it cannot be debated in extra sessions, which were also ruled out by the government.
Other key projects were also not scheduled:
The regulation of agrarian jurisdiction. He lacks conciliation in the Senate. It could be voted on tomorrow.
Debt quota. The final debate is missing in the plenary sessions of the House and Senate. This project seeks to expand Colombia’s debt quota to 17 billion dollars, key in the midst of the cut in the General Budget of the Nation of $20 billion pesos.
The livestock traceability project. It only needs one debate to be approved, but it is not scheduled on the agenda. The proposal places more controls on livestock in Colombia to combat deforestation. The project gained relevance after the support of actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio.
