Salary negotiations in Río Negro once again went to the intermission room

“With a bad or rather no offer of a salary increase, the meeting of the Public Service Council moved to an interim quarter,” they reported this morning from UPCN.

After the meeting of the Public Service Council they demanded from the government “fair and equitable treatment.”

“What was offered at the meeting does not at all reflect the claims expressed and raised by this union, remaining significantly below reasonable expectations, but it also ignores the economic and social challenges that the public workers sector faces on a daily basis,” they mentioned.

They added that “although this union sees the will to begin with the partial fulfillment of the transfer of the fixed sum to a remunerative one, we demand that this government transfer the total amount, whose commitment was assumed by them last year and we reject the partial payment and in installments. We insist on the need for the salary offer to be made in percentage and after the transfer of the non-remunerative sums, in this way it would allow us to negotiate salaries closer to the reality that the family basket reflects monthly.”

Regarding hospital workers, they requested “a 100% increase in the working hours of Law 1844 and a 30% increase in medical guard hours under Law 1904; 50% of the medical and non-medical risk and the increase to full time; for the civil registry the increase of 65% of the additional delegates, subdelegates and authorized signature; for the PSA sector, the increase of 150% of the additional amounts of the Missions and Functions Manual and the change to service contracts for workers who are under the professor hours modality; for SENAF the increase in guards and the additional title for the professionals of the 1844.”

Finally, they asked the president of the Council that “future meetings for salary discussions be monthly and we demand that a date be urgently set for the payment of the bonus.”
