The job attractiveness monitor Merco announced its Merco Talento 2024, an index in which it ranks the best companies to work for in Colombia, according to their abilities to attract and retain talent.

In this edition, Ecopetrol appears as the best company to work for in the country, after receiving a score of 10,000, the maximum possible. The state oil company remains the leader in the matter, since in 2023 it had also topped the list.

Secondly, like last year, there is Bancolombia, which obtained a rating of 9,720by collaborators, university students, unions, experts and headhuntersamong others who participated in the survey.

In fact, in the first six places on the list there were no modifications, and in that sense the boxes in the 3 to 6 were occupied by Nutresa, Alpina, Bavaria and Sura.

In seventh place is EPM, which climbed one place; then Nestlé, which went down one place; Johnson & Johnson, which jumped from 11 to 9; and Davivienda closes, which remains in tenth place.

Regarding the results, Catalina Londoño Moreno, general director of Merco in Colombia, said that “we are seeing how in recent years both The satisfaction of company employees and the degree of recommendation to work in their company are increasingin 2024 satisfaction stands at 8.89 out of 10, and the degree of recommendation made by collaborators increases from 64.4% in 2023 to 71.6% in 2024.”

In turn, Enrique Mañas, director of Merco, highlighted that “the attributes that workers give the most importance when choosing the company in which they would like to work continue to be salary and attractiveness of the sectorbut attributes more related to the principles and values ​​of the company gain importance: ethical and professional values.”

Regarding the most relevant data this year, Merco highlighted how Nubank, in 59th place; Grupo Vanti in 71 and Corficolombiana in 72, are the companies that for the first time enter the top 100 of the best companies in attracting and retaining talent.

For its part, Grupo Argos highlighted how it was confirmed for the fifth consecutive year in first place among the business conglomerates with the greatest capacity to attract and retain talent. In the general ranking it ranked 25th; Its subsidiaries Cementos Argos and Celsia occupied boxes 19 and 24, respectively.

“This result recognizes the talent of more than 11,000 employees found in Grupo Argos companies a place to develop their talent and represents a commitment for the organization to continue promoting diverse and inclusive work spaces,” said Alejandro Piedrahita, vice president of Strategy and Corporate Finance at Grupo Argos.
