The fifth stage of the Return to Colombia was won by Daniel Arroyave, who crossed the finish line, after 185.6 kilometers between Manizales and Buga, in Valle del Cauca, but after the celebration a change occurred, since the stewards analyzed the arrival and gave Alejandro Osorio the winner.

A fraction that featured Orgullo Paisa, left the winner with a time of 4:19.14 to Arroyave from Antioquia, but then the judges decided to sanction him for an invasion of the race line and gave the victory to Alejandro Osorio.

Flat stage that covered Manizales, Chinchina, Dosquebradas, Cartago, Obando, Zarzal, La Uribe, Tuluá, Betania and Buga in Valle del Cauca, with a massive arrival.
