The Association of Officials of the Environmental Evaluation Service (ANFU SEA) in Tarapacá has denounced mistreatment and harassment in its public administration, within the framework of a nationwide mobilization. Tarapacá officials joined this mobilization and expressed their complaint through a poster installed on the door of the office in Iquique with the slogan: “ANFU SEA against mistreatment and harassment in the SEA.”

In a statement signed by AFUSAN, the officials reported that the General Assembly of the Association of SEA Civil Servants decided, by a large majority, to speak out against cases of labor abuse that affect an entire department of the service.

“We stand in solidarity with those affected and make it clear that the attack on any worker of this institution will never be tolerated. It is urgent to take measures to prevent the normalization of these practices,” the statement indicates.

Due to this situation, officials announced that today they will not serve the public, attend meetings or carry out field work. In addition, they invited each work team to meet for an act of support and reflection, with the aim of strengthening the groups and promoting a decent work environment.
