Children’s and youth orchestras from Entre Ríos, dependent on the provincial Ministry of Culture, participate in school ceremonies. On this occasion, it was for the commemoration of the Entre Ríos and Nacional flags.
The children’s and youth orchestras and ensembles of Entre Ríos have been part of school events, through the interpretation of different repertoires that add to the enthusiasm of students, teachers and parents.
This week, within the framework of the events held in schools for the day of the flags of Entre Ríos and Nacional, the Romina Iturain orchestra, made up of children and young people from the western part of the city, made its presentation in the secondary schools N No. 15 of La Baxada del Paraná and No. 78 Intendente JC Esparza, where during the year they carry out their music learning and practices.
Meanwhile, this Friday the orchestra is scheduled to participate in the event organized by School No. 52 Bernardo O’Higgins, in La Picada.
The musical groups that bring together young people and children are part of the Entre Ríos Orchestras, Ensembles and Choirs program, dependent on the provincial Ministry of Culture. The proposal has the objective of guaranteeing access to children and young people from 7 to 21 years old who wish to learn to read music and play an instrument individually and collectively.
There are twelve musical groups in the province and they are distributed in neighborhoods of the cities of Paraná, Concepción del Uruguay, Concordia, Gualeguaychú and San José. The program is developed based on weekly meetings, in the form of workshops and rehearsals, in host schools.
Registration is open throughout the year. It is not necessary to have prior knowledge of the instrument of interest or singing.
