The Ministry of Public Health confirmed more than 12 thousand cases of flu in Salta so far this year. The departments that reported the most cases are Rivadavia, Orán, Capital and Metán.
In the last Epidemiological Week (SE), between June 9 and 15, the Ministry of Public Health confirmed 2,141 new cases of flu, accumulating 12,797 positive cases since the beginning of this year.
Namely, the details of confirmed in each department are as follows:

Main Affected
71.2% of the total reported cases are concentrated in four departments: Rivadavia, Orán, Capital and Metán.
The most affected age range is between 5 and 9 years old, with 1929 cases, which represents 15.1% of the total cases; followed by the age group of 10 to 14 years, with 1,607 positives, meaning 12.6%; and in third place, from 25 to 34 years old, with 1,502, that is, 11.7%.
Older adults total 617 cases, which represents 4.82%.
Vanina GalvanHead of the Surveillance program reported that, since 2024 began, other Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) have also been reported, confirming 2,916 cases of pneumonia and 3,256 of bronchiolitis in children under 2 years of age.
He also reported that, in EW 24, between June 9 and 15, there were 185 hospitalized patients with some of this virus, in different health institutions in the province.
