Assistance was provided to the occupants of private vehicles and the passengers of medium-distance buses who had been stranded on Route 3. Also, a device was organized so that truck drivers could go to Comodoro Rivadavia.
The Government of Chubut assisted all the people who, due to the intense storm of rain, snow and low temperatures, suffered inconveniences while traveling along different routes in the province.
For this purpose, a special operation was organized to address all the requirements and situations derived from the adverse weather conditions that affect the entire provincial territory.
In this sense, the Minister of Security and Justice, Héctor Iturrioz, together with the head of the Chubut Police, General Commissioner Andrés García and the Undersecretary of Citizen Protection, Eduardo Pérez, went to Comodoro Rivadavia to provide assistance to the people who had left stranded in different sectors of National Route No. 3.
In addition, the Secretary of Citizen Liaison, Laura Mirantes, and the president of the Provincial Road Administration, Hernán Tórtola, among others, are also carrying out rescue tasks.
In all cases, provincial officials provided assistance to the occupants of a dozen vehicles that had been immobilized on the route.
Food, shelters and all kinds of items were distributed to face the low temperatures that hit the area.
In turn, help was provided to truck drivers who were transported to Comodoro Rivadavia, as well as to the passengers of the different medium-distance buses that were detained at the site.
During the long weekend, the provincial government will keep all its attention focused on the different places where difficulties arise, with the use of all human and material resources to offer immediate responses and ensure the protection of people’s health status. that are affected by the adverse weather conditions that are affecting a large part of the province.
