LOGROÑO, June 20. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the Government of La Rioja, Gonzalo Capellán, has announced the upcoming elimination of the Wealth Tax in our Community, a measure that will mean a new commitment fulfilled and that will help “companies in general, and family businesses in particular, to be able to continue developing their business projects, growing and thus contributing to this extraordinary land becoming bigger and more prosperous”.

Gonzalo Capellán made these statements today, June 20, during his speech at the closing of the general assembly of the Riojan Association of Family Businesses (AREF), a meeting in which the Minister of Finance, Public Governance, Society also participated. Digital and Spokesperson, Alfonso Domínguez, and the Minister of Economy, Innovation, Business and Self-Employment, Belinda León, and in which the president thanked the contribution of the business community “to socioeconomic development and job creation” in this Community.

In this regard, he praised the virtues of family businesses in our Community, “that update their legacy, innovate and by working earn the trust of their clients, with a credibility that makes them a national and international reference.”

Transferring this principle to the action of the Executive, he pointed out that “what a good Government can do is facilitate. We have come to facilitate and that means, for example, promoting administrative simplification or establishing a framework for development, for example, by subsidizing to 99% the Inheritance and Donation tax, something that is fulfilled because they were part of our commitments.

AREF: 56 COMPANIES AND 3,450 JOBS IN THE REGION

The Riojan Association of Family Businesses (AREF), whose journey began in 1996, currently represents 56 companies that, according to their data, contribute 15.29% of the Riojan GDP and generate around 3,450 jobs in the region.
