Medellín, June 28, 2024.

-All road corridors with the greatest influx of vehicles are enabled.

-The Government of Antioquia has yellow machinery to deal with any eventuality that may arise on the roads during the weekend. It is recommended to travel with caution and pay attention to traffic signs.

-The Infrastructure Secretariat currently attends to 76 critical points on the roads throughout the department

In order to maintain an efficient and safe road network, the Infrastructure Secretariat has its subregional emergency response and maintenance contracts active. In addition, it deploys technical personnel and yellow machinery in various points of the territory to address any situation that may affect the mobility of Antioquians.

All corridors under the control of the Government of Antioquia with the highest traffic flow are open for the transit of road users.

Below is a summary of the current traffic restrictions in the department of Antioquia.

News on the Las Palmas dual carriageway, Las Palmas, Santa Elena variant and on the Aburrá Oriente – Oriente Tunnel Road Connection:

•Sajonia – Airport dual carriageway: works in the external roundabout sector of the José María Córdova airport (construction of the road interchange).

●Vía Santa Elena: enabled with Stop and Go control at km 6 + 070, Media Luna path, lower part (El Chirimoyo sector) and km 11 + 200, Mirador sector due to road work. Restriction of vehicles with a load greater than four (4) tons.

●Las Palmas bypass: enabled. Restriction of cargo vehicles over four (4) tons.

●Aburrá Oriente Road Connection Route – Oriente Tunnel: open 24 hours a day, with traffic restrictions for freight vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, teaching vehicles, motorcycles, animal-drawn vehicles and chivas.

On Monday, July 1, the Oriente Tunnel will have one-way traffic between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm in the Rionegro – Medellín direction.

●Las Palmas Dual Carriageway: enabled with restriction to vehicles carrying more than four (4) tons between km 6 + 600 (above the ‘Chuscalito’ restaurant) to km 16 + 600 (Alto de Las Palmas roundabout).

On Sunday, June 30, there will be a bike lane, so traffic will be in one lane from 5:30 am to 10:30 am, in the left lane of the uphill road.

News in the EAST subregion:

•La Granja (Montebello) – El Retiro went to half lane due to bank losses on PR2+400. The passage of vehicles over 10 tons is restricted by resolution 2023060082645 of 08/02/2023 of the Departmental Road Safety Agency.

•Morelia (Route 56) – Abejorral: total closure due to construction of a vehicular bridge on PR9+200. Vehicle traffic is restricted by resolution 202306008264350416 of 11/17/2023 of the Departmental Road Safety Agency.

•El Peñol – Guatapé – El Bizcocho – San Rafael half-lane transition to construction of retaining wall at PR20+400. Removal of landslides by personnel and machinery on site, travel with caution.

•San Rafael – La Palma – La Holanda – San Carlos, lane shift due to loss of banking on PR10+400 and PR16+900, landslides are being removed, personnel and machinery are on site, drive with caution.

•Highway – El Ramal – Granada, half-lane shift due to loss of banking on PR0+900 and construction of a vehicular bridge on PR11+700.

•Barbosa – Concepción, mid-lane crossing, loss of banking on PR10+900 and PR11+400 and landslides in the road corridor

•Sanctuary – El Carmen: improvement of 12 km of the road that connects these two municipalities.

News in the WEST subregion:

●La Usa – Caicedo: cleaning of roads, machinery and personnel on site. Travel with caution.

●La Miserenga (Ruta 62 Junction) – Ebéjico – Sevilla – Heliconia – Alto del Chuscal: at km 61+826 there is partial loss of the bank and work on the road on km 8+500 and km 61+926, a geologically unstable area at km38+900. Additionally, the activation of the Traffic Management Plan – Partial Closure for the road is authorized, in the sector between La Miserenga (Ruta 62 Junction) km 0+000 and Ebéjico (Quebrada La Sucia) km 3+127, according to Resolution No. 2023060347919 of the Departmental Road Safety Agency of October 26, 2023, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm

●Alto del Chuscal – San Antonio de Prado: Material fall occurs at km 00+800, geologically unstable area at km 5+000, beginning of partial loss of the left side bench at km 05+200 and 05+ 900. Travel with caution.

●Alto del Chuscal – Armenia – La Herradura – Titiribí: There is work on the road at km 07+000, travel as a precaution at abscissa 09+800 due to collapse in the road on the left side, and partial loss of the road at km 38+900 and km 50+900.

●Rubicón – Cestillal: the road corridor has landslides along the route and a partial loss of the road km08+200 left side, travel with caution.

●Chorodó – Frontino: Partial loss on the K06+800 right side, travel with caution.

●Frontino – La Herradura – La Balsa: Loss of km 00+100 left side, geologically unstable zone K03+900, km 5+600, km 13+000, partial loss of the bank at km 4+600, reduction of roadway due to landslide km 12+700 and km14+600

●Buenos Aires (Cañasgordas) – Abriaquí: Presents partial loss of the bank at km 02+900, and due to material deposited by the flooding of the channel at km 14+600.

●El Botón – Paso Ancho – Frontino: presents partial loss of the bench at km 01+000, km 03+600, km 10+600, km 15+800, km 16+600, km 17+400, Km 18+ 000, km 20+900, km 21+800, km 22+200, km 23+000, km 24+200, km 24+400, km 25+400

●Uramita – Peque: the road has paving works from km 02+500 to km 06+800, presence of landslides from km 20+000 (Juntas de Uramita to km 44+300.

●Dabeiba – Camparrusia: due to material deposited by the flooding of the ravines that the road corridor has, caution must be traveled at km 11+000, km19+400, km 19+700, km 40+400, km 40+800, km 42+800, km 43+700, km 44+600 geologically unstable zone at km 38+800.

●San Jerónimo – Poleal – San Pedro de Los Milagros: Road Corridor with closure

●Frontino- Abriaquí: road cleaning, machinery and personnel on site. Drive with caution.

●Liborina – Sabanalarga: closed route. Secretariat teams working to enable it.

The Desarrollo Vía al Mar SAS concession reports the following news: “We are working on the critical points of our road to enable passage as soon as possible. Closures continue on the road between Santa Fe de Antioquia and Cañasgordas and Santa Fe de Antioquia and Bolombolo. For more information, contact 3176676335 or 6043220393-300.”

News in the SOUTHWEST subregion:

●El Cinco – Venecia: total road closure at km 0+100. We are moving forward with mitigation works, carrying out leveling and paving activities.

●Caramanta – Valparaiso: passage enabled to a lane after cleaning material that fell on the road. Teams from the secretariat and the mayor’s office of Valparaíso work together.

●Fredonia – La Tolva: closed route. Secretariat teams working to enable it.

●Camilocé – El Cinco – Fredonia: partial loss of bench occurs at km 14+000. Travel with caution, passage restricted to one (1) lane.

●Camilocé – El Cinco – Fredonia: K5+500 Passage restricted to one lane due to settlement of the bench, K7+400 Passage to one lane due to partial loss of the bench.

●El Barroso – El Chaquiro – Salgar: there is partial loss of bench at km 1+000. Caution when traveling.

●Valparaíso – Támesis: partial loss of banking at km 15+900 and km 17+200. Drive with caution.

●La Tolva – Piedra Verde – Ye to Fredonia: partial loss of bench is evident at km 13+200. Travel with caution, passage restricted to one (1) lane.

●Puente Iglesias (Route 25B) – La Ye – Jericó: total loss of banking in the La Viña sector (km 4+900 from Jericó). If you are heading to the sector, take alternate routes.

●Betulia – San José – Urrao: There is a passage to one lane at K2+800 and partial loss of the bench at K10+000, passage restricted to one lane. Removal of landslides is carried out by personnel and machinery on site, travel in caution.

●Concordia – La Quiebra – Betulia: Access is restricted to one lane on K8+600. Landslides are being removed by personnel and machinery on site. Please drive with caution.

●Iglesias Bridge – Marseille – Fredonia: K10+000, rock fall. Between Puente Iglesias and Marsella K11+000, frequent tree falls. Travel with caution.

News in the ways of influence of the PAJARITO TOLL and the NORTH subregion:

●Don Matías Variant (Route 25) – Entrerríos: the transit of vehicles with loads exceeding 32 tons on the road corridor is permanently restricted. According to Resolution No. 2023060086989 of the Departmental Road Safety Agency of August 28, 2023.

●Gavino Bridge – Gómez Plata – El Guayabo – Carolina Del Príncipe – La Herradura – Departures to Guadalupe – Guadalupe: Crossing to the middle lane due to the construction of a retaining wall on the (PR8+800)

●San Fermín (Route 25) – Briceño: The rainfall of the last few days affected several points along the San Fermín – Briceño road corridor: partial bank losses occurred at PR 9+700; PR10+000 PR; 13+300, PR; 19+200 PR; 21+000. It is recommended to drive with caution.

●La Apartada (San José de La Montaña) – Partidas (San José de la Montaña) – Toledo – Matanzas: There is a loss of banking on PR 11 + 200, mitigation work was carried out, drive with caution, passage restricted to one (1) lane.

●La Ese – Angostura – La Ye (Departures to Angostura) – La Herradura: Due to the rains, there is a mid-lane crossing due to landslides in PR 9+100, PR 10+800, PR 11+200, PR 13+900. Caution – machinery on the road

News in the NORTHEAST subregions:

•Porcesito – Gavino Bridge – La Cortada – Yolombó – Yalí – Vegachí: transition to half a lane due to the construction of a retaining wall in the PR (PR67+000).

Cleaning of landslides caused by rain is being carried out in PR 58+500 and PR 65+000, it is recommended to travel with caution. Machinery on the road.

•San Jorge – San Roque: transition to half lane due to the construction of a retaining wall in the PR (PR3+700)
