Comprehensive care with the citizen at the center and as a participant in the system together with health professionals, institutions and administration. The Rioja Health Service presented this Thursday at Cibir the Community Health Strategy in Primary Care in La Rioja 2023-2027, a roadmap that puts black on white, over 152 pages, the analysis of the current situation, of existing resources and the steps necessary to respond to existing social and health challenges

A community-oriented Primary is advocated to “provide comprehensive care to the population, in which, together with health care oriented to a clinical approach, we are committed to care focused on the patient and in their context, with a biopsychosocial approach, promoting their active participation and effectively addressing health inequalities in a context that is constantly changing due to demographic changes, advances in technology, the evolution of socioeconomic factors and new disease patterns,” among others, as noted by the Director of Primary Nursing, Victoria Musitu, and Strategy Coordinator, Ruth Cotelo.

The strategy includes 60 actions around 6 strategic axes, such as organization and coordination, strengthening the three levels of community orientation with a focus on equity and social determinants in health, training, incorporation of digital tools, research and evaluation and dissemination.
