The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero Cruz, together with the Commander of the Revolution and vice prime minister Ramiro Valdés Menéndez, visit the Siguaney Cement Company, belonging to the Sancti Spiritus municipality of Taguasco, as part of the government visit to the province .

In the exchange with industry managers, visitors were interested in the production process, as well as new projects related to the economic and technological development of the factory.

After evaluating the factory’s economic indicators, Marrero Cruz was interested in the workers’ salaries and indicated looking for alternatives to continue increasing it, based on all productions, both main and secondary.

The Prime Minister of Cuba, also accompanied by René Mesa Villafaña, Minister of Construction and leaders of the Party and Government in the province and municipality of Taguasco, inquired about the production of asphalt in the province and referred to the potential of Sancti Spiritus for the manufacture of hot and cold asphalt.

The Prime Minister and the delegation that accompanies him visited the premises occupied by the Rioca MSME, located in the factory itself as part of the links with the new forms of management, which is dedicated to manufacturing blocks without the use of cement and adocrete slabs. .

As part of the tour, the Cuban leaders visited the self-consumption of the Siguaney Cement Company, which supplies food, vegetables, grains and fruit trees to the workers’ canteens and also allows sales to the workers.

The Prime Minister and the country’s senior leaders arrived at the Zaza hotel, belonging to the Islazul Chain, where Manuel Marrero Cruz gave instructions on how to try to recover the emblematic tourist facility in the shortest possible time.
