Another Sunday without power for much of the day

This is the power transformer that will be put into service this Sunday in Riohacha.

Sundays seem to be the best days for the energy company to carry out work and therefore it is forced to suspend the service. This situation forces Riohacheras families to have to go out anywhere.

This June 23, the inhabitants of several circuits will be affected by the suspension of the service; because Air has reported through a press release that it will commission a new power transformer at the substation Riohacha.

The company specifies that this work will bring numerous benefits, including greater reliability in the electrical supply and an improved capacity to meet the District’s growing energy needs.

To carry out this work safely, the power supply will be suspended in the Riohacha circuits 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8, this Sunday, June 23 from 5:00 am to 5:00 pm

The company announced that the new 50 MVA transformer will replace 20 MVA equipment, which translates into greater load handling capacity and, in turn, greater reliability. Additionally, improvements will be made to the power equipment of transformer number 4 that feeds circuits 3, 5 and 8.

The company maintains the commitment to users to continue with investments that contribute to the development of this District and this work is crucial to address load increases while guaranteeing service quality indicators.
