Three boys died in a fire at their house in General Roca – Más Río Negro

Three children aged two, four and ten died today after suffering several serious injuries in a fire in General Roca. The tragic event occurred after 9 o’clock in the Tiro Federal neighborhood, on Ameghino Street, between Colón and Montevideo.

According to sources consulted by the Río Negro newspaper, the neighbors notified personnel from Police Station 21 who arrived at the scene. Seeing the flames and that the family was still inside, they tried to open the door but couldn’t.

In this situation, Neighbors and uniformed police made a hole in a wall and managed to enter and remove the three children and their parents who were unconscious.

Personnel from the Siarme emergency system who also arrived at the scene rushed the children to the Francisco López Lima hospital. However, minutes later the death of the three boys was confirmed.

After 9 o’clock two fire crews arrived and a third vehicle was called to put out the flames.

After coordinated work, firefighters managed to put out the fire. When they were checking the place, among the rubble and metal sheets they found a cat that had died from the flames. Some gas cylinders were also found.

However, spokesmen indicated that lThe Fire Brigade will investigate how the fire originated. The investigation is in charge of prosecutor Norma Reyes.
