The zoo of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, as well as the Botanical Garden, invite the public to enjoy the winter holidays, with a wide range of activities and attractions for the whole family..

Municipal Zoo

With an area of ​​six and a half hectares, the Municipal Zoo offers a tour that lasts approximately two hours, during which you can see more than 200 animal species, which include: the harpy eagle, the second largest eagle in the world; the capybara, a rodent known for its charisma with both humans and other animals, and the jaguar, an emblematic feline of eastern Bolivia.

In addition, the Zoo’s aviary, serpentarium, aquarium and museum spaces are ready to welcome all visitors.

Located on the third radial ring 26, the Zoo opens its doors daily, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Tickets cost Bs10 for adults and Bs5 for children between 5 and 11 years old; Children under 5 years old, older adults and people with disabilities do not pay admission.

Botanical Garden

For those interested in flora, the Botanical Garden will also be open to the public during the holidays. One of its attractions is a tropical greenhouse and a variety of exotic plants.

Its opening hours to the public are Monday to Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Tickets cost Bs 5 for children under 12 years old, and Bs10 for those over 12 years old.

In addition, the botanical garden will offer various activities, such as art workshops, on weekends, and guided tours.

With an educational and awareness-raising focus on animal conservation, these institutions invite everyone to enjoy a day of learning and entertainment in a natural environment within the city.
