They robbed and vandalized a community theater space in Córdoba – Notes – Siempre Juntos

The headquarters of the Orilleros de la Cañada community theater, located at Julio Roca 1644, was once again the target of robbery and vandalism. This is the sixth incident of insecurity that the institution has faced in just a year and a half.

María José Schule, director of the theater, shared the heartbreaking details of the incident: “They entered, they broke the door, they broke everything inside. Not only did they steal, but they vandalized. They wrote graffiti on the walls, they relieved themselves inside.”

The group is made up of members of all ages: from small children as young as 3 years old to seniors over 80. In addition to the property damage and stolen items – including costumes and makeup – the vandals also took construction materials , with which they tried to improve the space.

“They stole our mixer, we had borrowed it from the bricklayer, they stole all the materials,” Schule said. “In one year they robbed him six times,” she added to Chain 3.

Despite these repeated setbacks, the group remains committed to its cultural and community mission. However, Schule admitted that this latest incident has been especially discouraging: “It kind of really brought this situation down a lot.”

The director emphasized the urgent need for help: “We need help; we need to be taken care of,” she stressed, demanding more security in the area.
