Vice Prime Minister Jorge Luis Tapia Fonseca arrived this Friday at Aguada de Pasajeros as part of the government visit to the province of Cienfuegos.
The leader reflected on the 18 million budget deficit that the Aguadense territory presents, which can be reversed with the economic potential of the territory for the development of productive programs that it had in the past such as rice, grain, sugar cane, dairy. , livestock farmer and become a surplus municipality.

The leader questioned during the meeting with representatives of organizations, sectors and organizations in Aguada de Pasajeros, where he urged to work much more for territorial autonomy.
At another time he became interested in the implementation of strategies for the construction of materials used in the housing program. Likewise, he evaluated the possibility of reversing problems in the social sectors during the dialogue with the education and health directorates in the municipality.
Tapia Fonseca inquired about the care for vulnerable groups and the role of the Family Care System (SAF), where the nutritional balance is unfavorably impacted by the food management efforts that the municipality can achieve.
The Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos García Granda also participated in the work meeting, who analyzed the pending proposals of citizens, most of them related to the impact of roads, water supply, leaks, among others.
At the end of the meeting, both leaders visited the “Miguel Alipio de León Hernández” Polyclinic with hospitalization service, where they discussed the services provided by the group and also learned about the state of opinion of the residents.
Later, at the Agroindustrial Grain Company, they debated the gaps in the program in the territory. Tapia Fonseca said that today the incentive is to stimulate payments and strengthen control over production to avoid diversion.
