The protocol event took place in Cerrillos. Around 1,200 students from the Salta Police and the Provincial Penitentiary Service made the promise of fidelity.
Cadets and candidates from the Salta Police and the Provincial Penitentiary Service swore allegiance to the National Flag in a protocol ceremony that took place in front of the Serapio Gallegos square in the town of Cerrillos.
The event was chaired by the Secretary of Security, Fernando Acedoand the mayor of Cerrillos, Enrique Borelli. The recently appointed Chief of Police also participated, Diego Bustos.
On the occasion, the religious invocation, the taking of the oath by the authorities of the Security Forces and the traditional institutional parade were carried out.
The Secretary of Security greeted the June 20 formation and in his speech gave a message about loyalty, firmness and conduct that members of the Security Forces must have as public servants, not only to honor the Homeland with their good performance, but also to their Institutions and the community in general.
“It is an oath of loyalty not only to the flag but also to all our heroes. Not only those remembered and those known; but also to each of the heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty,” said Mayor Borelli.
To which he added: “Honoring that memory is really swearing loyalty to the country, to the flag and to their memory and to what this Nation deserves.”
On the other hand, he indicated that this ceremony symbolizes commitment and respect towards our country and our heroes. “It is an honor to witness this act of loyalty and dedication by our future public servants,” he indicated.
