Hyundai’s portfolio in Colombia grows with the arrival of the new gasoline variant of the Kona SUVa line whose second generation landed in the country in the first quarter of 2023, in its full hybrid or non-plug-in variant.
Propulsion
In its gasoline version, Hyundai Kona works with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, which delivers a maximum power of 147 horses and a torque of up to 180 Nm, at 4,500 rpm. The block is coupled to an IVT type CVT transmission: Intelligent Variable Transmission.

Indoor equipment
Inside the cabin of the Kona in its hybrid variant there is a multimedia system made up of a 12.3″ touch screen, which has wireless connectivity with CarPlay and Android Auto. It adds a 12.3″ dashboard, in the Eclipse and Limited versions, as well as six speakers and a total of three USB charging points.

Security
In terms of safety, the Kona proposal in its gasoline variant includes, in all its versions, hill descent control, forward collision assistantlane following assist, blind spot collision assistABS, EBD, DMS, ESC, reverse camera, parking sensors, among others.
Outdoor equipment
The exterior offering of the gasoline variant of the Kona SUV includes 17″ wheels and 215/60 R17 specification tires, in the Premium version, and 18″ and 215/55 R18 tires for the Eclipse and Limited. Likewise, it has roof rails for the luggage rack, rain sensorlighting body in LED technology, among others.

Versions and prices
In total, three gasoline versions of the Kona were presented in Colombia. The brand announced that an electric variant will arrive in the country before the end of 2024.
– Premium: $113,990,000.
– Eclipse: $117,990,000.
– Limited: $123,990,000.
