Gustavo Petro, president of Colombia, was booed in Cauca and where he arrived in the last hours at the launch of ‘Misión Cauca’ that seeks to give a boost to this department hit by the events of violence, the most recent case was the one that occurred in Morales.
Videos of the moment went viral on social networks and after those affected by the violence were not heard by the Colombian leader.
Petro gave his speech and left the auditorium, amidst shouts and demands.
The head of state landed around 2:20 pm at the Guillermo León Valencia airport in Popayán, despite the adverse weather conditions that prevail in the Cauca capital. He did it on the presidential plane, on a day in which he toured the destroyed streets of this town of more than 29,000 inhabitants, and announced measures to combat attacks by FARC dissidents.
