In a work session headed by Beatriz Johnson Urrutia, first secretary of the Party in the province, and Manuel Falcón Hernández, governor, the program of healthy recreation activities for the vacation period for the coastal municipality of Guamá, in Santiago de Cuba, was presented today.
According to what was published on the social network Likewise, it is planned to direct the provision of services to the interests of various age groups and sectors of the population.
In this territory, the one with the most bathing areas in the province, the organization of these 15 public spaces is prioritized to guarantee recreational offers with a variety of prices, promoting above all those that are most affordable for families.
One of the premises is to promote cultural, sports and gastronomic actions in the communities of this municipality, included in its entirety in the Turquino Plan. With this purpose, artistic crusades, film screenings, the offer of various services and meetings with residents of the mountain ranges will take place.
In the presentation there was also space to listen to the new generations. Pioneers, high school students and members of the Young Communist League raised their expectations to enjoy the holidays in Guamá.
They talked about activities that allow socializing the riches of the historical and natural heritage of Uvero and other places where important events of the national liberation struggle took place and where the beauty of the landscape is a great attraction.
The young people also expressed their willingness to participate in work to support food production and other sectors of the territory’s economy.
When evaluating what was presented, Johnson Urrutia and Falcón Hernández agreed that the management structures of institutions and popular councils must work to promote discipline, as well as activities based on healthy habits and lifestyles.
