The rector of the Magdalena UniversityPablo Vera Salazar, was exalted as the ‘Most impactful leader of the year in the Americas’ by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities -ACEEU- (for its acronym in English).

The award was awarded in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on the occasion of the Triple E Awards 2024 held during the Forum of the Americas -ACEEU- and the Triple Helice Conference, which brought together professionals and academics from the continent, who promote the entrepreneurshipinnovation and commitment to higher education.

Vera stood out among four academics from Brazil, Canada and USA. They were: Rafael Chanin, from Brazil, entrepreneurship instructor at the University of Rio Grande, Brazil; Edna Chosack, health area leader and senior coach at the Concordia University, from Canada; Susan Fiorito, and Nicoleta Bugnariu, deans of the universities of Florida and the Pacific, in the United States, respectively.

The award for Vera was received by Julieth Lizcano Pradahead of the Unimagdalena Quality Assurance Office, from Thorsten Kliewe, Executive President of ACEEU and the Triple E Awards.

He did it because the rector Pablo Vera Salazar tours the department, signing agreements with the mayors to keep the program in force Magdalena Talent and continue to guarantee access to higher education to vulnerable youth.
