Jesús Alberto Saavedra Barrios, accompanied by Governor Adriana Magali Matiz and members of the cabinet, extended a cordial invitation to all Ibaguereños to join this celebration.
“We invite all Ibagué residents next Saturday, June 22, from 8:00 in the morning in Galarza Park, for the Third Pet Parade in the city of Ibagué,” Saavedra Barrios announced during a press conference.
Parade route and business fair
The parade will begin in Galarza Park and will travel down Third Avenue until reaching the Mayor’s Office. This event promises to be a family-friendly and festive occasion, highlighting the importance of pets in the community.
In addition to the parade, A large pet business fair will be held at the Mayor’s Office, where various products will be offered and services related to animal care. This event will provide an opportunity for pet owners to discover new options for the well-being of their furry companions.
Support and donations
Saavedra Barrios also highlighted the generous support of a local businessman, who will donate bags of concentrate for the animals registered in the parade. “Yesterday we receive great support from a businessman who will provide us with bags of concentrate for registered animals. Registration is still open, and each person who registers their dog or cat will receive a two-kilo bag of concentrate,” he explained.
Call for participation
The Secretary of the Interior made a final call to the community to register and participate in this special event of the Colombian Folk Festival. “We are waiting for you so that our pets also have a special chapter in this fiftieth folkloric festival of Ibagué,” Saavedra concluded.
Participation in this parade not only celebrates the love of petsbut also strengthens the sense of community and culture in the Department of Tolima, integrating all citizens and their faithful companions in the festivities of the Colombian Folk Festival.
