In a show of commitment and solidarity, the Second Brigade of the National Army, through its Mechanized Infantry Battalion No. 5, organized an outstanding Development Support Day in the town of Monterrubio, in the municipality of Sabanas de San Ángel .

This initiative, supported by the Military District No. 12, the Official Professionals of the Reserve, the Mayor’s Office of Sabanas de San Ángel, the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare, and the National Police, had as its main objective to provide essential services to the communities most vulnerable in the region.

During the event, which brought together numerous local residents, various health services were offered that benefited approximately 1,000 people.

These services included consultations in general medicine, internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, dentistry, psychology and pharmacy, thus ensuring access to comprehensive medical care for those who need it most.

In addition to health services, important institutional services were provided. Information was provided on the definition of the military situation, guidance on citizen income, assistance for registration in the Sisbén, family police station services, assistance to victims, assistance from the registry office and recreational activities for all ages.

The inhabitants of the sector expressed their gratitude and recognition for this invaluable help, highlighting the importance of collaboration between institutions for the progress and development of the most vulnerable regions of the country.
