The Last Editorial
In the last few hours, the Neiva Metropolitan Police managed to seize a significant cache of narcotics.
The seizure was carried out on a tertiary road that leads from Neiva to the municipality of Palermo, where they noticed the suspicious presence of a white car-type vehicle, a motorcycle and two cargo vehicles.
In the process of verifying the vehicles, the police personnel found inside the two cargo vehicles, more than 84 bags with about 4.5 tons of marijuana.
With this important operation, we hit the finances of criminal structures dedicated to drug trafficking by more than 8.6 billion pesos; which could have been received by criminal groups dedicated to the sale of narcotics in the region, once dosed and marketed.
The narcotic, the motorcycle and the three seized vehicles were left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, in order to carry out all the investigation activities that entail the identification of the people involved in the illegal activity of drug trafficking. .
