Within the framework of the judicial case arising from the tragic road accident that recently occurred on provincial route 39, significant developments have occurred. The investigation, originally under the prosecution of María Occhi, has undergone a change after her excuse motivated by her closeness to Dr. Evangelina Bruzzo, wife of the president of the Provincial Port Institute, Juan Ruiz Orrico, directly involved in the incident.
Given this departure, the responsibility of continuing with the case has fallen on prosecutor Eduardo Santos, appointed by the coordinator of prosecutors of Concepción del Uruguay, Fernando Lombardi. Simultaneously, the Attorney Mario Arcusin has taken a crucial role by becoming a plaintiff representing the families of Lucas and Brian Izaguirre, as well as Axel Rossi, who tragically lost their lives in this unfortunate event.
Arcusin, a criminal lawyer from Basavilbaso, the town of origin of the fatal victims, has expressed his intention to wait for the official reports before determining the steps to follow. Among the possible legal actions, the possibility of taking action against Juan Ruiz Orrico or against the provincial State, owner of the vehicle involved in the fatal accident, is contemplated.
According to the portal 03442TOrcusín seeks to carry out a criminal action for “Wrongful homicide aggravated by the ingestion of alcohol” or “Intentional homicide due to speed”, since it understands that the impact occurred in a sector where the route is marked and that “high speed driving speed is truly reckless.”

For the complaining party, “The official car became unstable on the poor road in the area, crossed it to the south shoulder and that was when it returned to the asphalt strip, at which time the workers’ car came from the front, causing the violent collision.”
“They must take responsibility for what happened and give a future to the children of these young people with a long life expectancy”claimed the lawyer, stating that he will take civil action against Ruiz Orrico and Provincia.
At the moment, proceedings are still being ordered regarding the incident and a report from the Criminalistics Division is awaited, so there is still no accurate information about how the head-on collision occurred.
