The Music Band of the city of Bovril shined in Paraná

The Band is municipal and started in 2018. It is made up of children, young people and older people. He participated in the event for the Entre Ríos Flag Day, held in Paraná and headed by the governor. It was their first presentation in an official ceremony of the province and for its members it was “a source of pride.”

The members of the Bovril Municipality Music Band lived a day of pure emotion and pride when they participated in the central event for Entre Ríos Flag Day, in front of the Government House, in Paraná.

During the morning of Wednesday the 19th, the ceremony led by Governor Rogelio Frigerio took place, which was attended by numerous school delegations and the general public in Plaza Mansilla.

The celebration was complemented by the participation of the Bovril Music Band, which with an allusive repertoire shared the execution of the marches with the Historical Bandín Los Dragones de la Muerte, belonging to the Entre Ríos Police Band. The freshness and solidity shown by the members of the Band, from the town belonging to the department of La Paz, aroused praise in the middle of the ceremony from both the governor and the mayor of Paraná, Rosario Romero.

The public and school delegations rewarded them with warm applause. At the end of the event, the musicians added a touch of color by performing a candombe and a carnavalito, to close the commemoration with a festive atmosphere.

Professor Camilo Sattler is its director, a young man who knows how to transmit enthusiasm to the group. “We are very proud to be participating in the official event of the province’s flag day with the Bovril Municipal Band. It is a huge source of pride for all of us and for all the people, we are very happy, because it is the first time that we have been invited to an official event of the province,” explained Sattler.

“We think this proposal from the provincial Ministry of Culture is wonderful, bringing bands and orchestras from the interior of Entre Ríos,” said the artistic director and trumpet teacher, Camilo Sattler.

In this regard, the Band attended at the invitation of the Secretary of Culture of Entre Ríos, within the framework of the organization of the celebration on June 19, following one of the primary objectives of the management of Secretary Fabián Reato, which consists of making Entre Ríos artists visible. generating equal opportunities.

Regarding the beginnings, the director explained: “Our band has been operating for six years and is made up of student musicians, that is, they are not professionals, and all its members have a desire to learn and join. There is a team of four teachers who teach instruments such as clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, percussion, trombone. It should be noted that all the instruments that (were used) in the presentation we made are provided by the Municipality of Brovril. We have the work dynamics of a municipal workshop. And in our case, to join the band there are no age limits because there are very young children and older people, and it is completely free.”

Entre Ríos Flag Day

On June 19, Entre Ríos Flag Day was celebrated in commemoration of the date of birth of General José Gervasio Artigas. He was the creator of this emblem to distinguish the League of Free Peoples, and it was later adopted by General Francisco Ramírez during the Republic of Entre Ríos. The flag was established as the Official Flag of the Province of Entre Ríos by decree 879 of March 5, 1987 by the then governor Sergio Montiel. Then, in 2002, the use of this flag in all official provincial events was made official by law, accompanying the National Flag. And in 2013 another law determined June 19 as Flag Day of the Province of Entre Ríos. —
