On W Weekend, Benildo EstupiñánSecretary of Government and governor in charge of Nariño, referred to the car bomb explosion near a Police station in the town of El Remolino in the town of Taminango on the night of June 21, which caused the death of three people.

Authorities initially confirmed the death of a police officer and a womanwhile others six people were injured due to the force of the explosion that caused damage to doors and windows of buildings near the station. Later, it was learned that he joined another death, that of a manin addition to nine people who were injured.

“We manifest vehement rejection of these terrorist acts that make our population panic. As a departmental Government, all our solidarity for the death of their loved ones,” said the governor in charge.

Estupiñán assured that have taken action, within the framework of an extraordinary security council, to prevent these events from being repeated: “Our objective is to find the whereabouts of the material and intellectual actors (…) since yesterday, in coordination with the Police and Army, reinforced the police station. The first measure is the strength foot strengthening and the technical aspects that allow us a quick and objective investigation of the origin of these terrorist actions.”

On the other hand, regarding the injured people, the governor in charge assured that they were transferred to the city of Pasto and some of them have reserved forecasteither.

“We will continue giving all our attention so that these people can recover and return to their normal lives,” he stated.
