As in the times of the legendary “Tractors”, Bolívar is the new king of the U-12 category by winning undefeated the national tournament held at the “Eduardo Porras” stadium in Sincelejo.
The modern “Tractorcitos” took the jackpot undefeated, winning 7 games in the qualifying round and the two duels in the grand final, in an admirable campaign, for a total of 9 consecutive victories.
Led by Jhon Fortich Cavadía, Jorge Sáenz Colón and Willy Viloria, the talented players demonstrated their natural quality by winning all the games.
Bolívar recovered the national title in the category for children under 12 years of age, after losing in Sincelejo in 2023 with the ninth from Córdoba, which in the end takes the runner-up position.
Luis Mercado was credited with the victory, José Frías, William Oliva and Sherson Sabalza led the offense by hitting 6 hits, with 5 runs and 6 RBIs, in Bolívar’s 10-1 victory over Córdoba.
Starter Luis Mercado achieved success, working 4.0 innings, allowing 1 run, allowing 3 odd ones, walking 3, striking out 5, and using 76 pitches (45 strikes).
Reliever Maicon Arnedo pitched the last 2.0 innings, did not allow runs, received 1 hit, did not walk, struck out 2, using 35 pitches (17 strikes).
For Córdoba, the defeat fell to starter Samuel Babilonia (1.2) innings, then Juan Rodríguez (2.2), Rafael Ortega (0.2) and Luis Olea (1.0) paraded down the mound.

Sucre 11 Atlántico 1:
Esteban Casseres covered the entire route to take the victory, Edwin Álvarez took the loss, Isaac de Ángel hit a double and a triple, in Sucre’s victory 11 runs to 1 over Atlántico.
Esteban Casseres worked 5th innings, allowed 1 run, allowed 2 odd, walked 1, struck out 4, and used 60 pitches (40 strikes), to credit the game won.
The defeat was due to Atlántico’s starter, Edwin Álvarez (0.1), then they went up to the nose, Daniel Villarroel (0.0), while Donovan Barrios (4.0) closed the game.

For Sucre, Isaac de Ángel, 3-2, 1 double, 1 triple, 2 scores. Johan Narváez, 2-for-3, 1 double, 1 run scored, 3 RBIs and Danilo Tovar, 1-for-2, 2 runs scored.
For Atlántico the two hits were connected by Carlos Navarro, 2-1, 1 run scored and Donovan Barrios, 2-1, 1 RBI.
