A new experience of Meetings 4.0, the Telecom cycle that offers a breadth of views on the role of technology and the digital evolution of people and institutions, arrives in the province of San Juan with a hybrid in-person-virtual event that brings together references from the public and private sphere.

This new edition of Encuentros 4.0 offers a rich agenda to debate the impact of technologies and innovation in an increasingly digital world, exploring the scope of the experiences that are being developed in the province, both in the field of justice and the modernization of the State, as well as in the academic world, and its role as a trainer of future professionals.

The event in San Juan is the ninth meeting of this federal cycle. The main objective of the activity is to invite collective reflection through an enriching exchange around technology and its application in daily and professional life. As part of Encuentros 4.0, in recent years, conversations of national scope and others with a regional focus were held in the cities of Córdoba, Mendoza, Corrientes and Ushuaia. The meeting agenda

The first panel will be dedicated to exploring the digital transformation in traditional State institutions – at the request of the needs of an increasingly digital citizen – based on the exchange between Adriana García Nieto, Minister of the Court of Justice of San Juan, Mauricio Cerezo , Administrative Undersecretary of the Court of Justice of San Juan, and Fabricio Echegaray Mestre, Secretary of Digital Transformation and Modernization of the State in the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Treasury of San Juan.

The second panel will focus on the development of the new skills that professionals need to inhabit a world crossed by technological tools, and that forces us to develop digital skills. The dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the UNSJ, Marcelo Lucero, together with Ana Giménez and Fabricio Pérez, members of the university’s academic body and representatives of the Augmented Virtual Reality Observatory (ORVA), will offer a perspective located in the role of Social Sciences within innovation systems and the function of the academy as a talent trainer. They will also report on the developments that the university is covering with the ORVA project.

In the third and final panel, Guillermo Paez, Director of Product and Service Platforms at Telecom Argentina, and Augusto Salvatto, entrepreneur, consultant in knowledge economy, and coordinator of the Discovering Data Science and Data & AI Strategy programs at the University of San Andrés, they will have a hand-in-hand discussion on the mindset required to be innovative in today’s world, and the role of technology as a great enabler, based on their personal and professional experience.
