According to the latest technical report from the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC), the Argentine labor market has shown signs of stability in the first quarter of 2024.


The Economically Active Population (EAP) reached 48.0% of the total population, with 14.2 million active people. This indicator reflects the number of people who are employed or actively seeking employment.


The Employment Rate, which represents people who have at least one occupation, stood at 44.3%. Meanwhile, the Unemployment Rate was 7.7%, indicating the proportion of unemployed people actively looking for work.



Regarding Occupational Categories, salaried employees constitute 74.7% of those employed. However, 35.7% of them do not have a retirement discount.



These data provide a comprehensive view of the current state of the labor market in Argentina. Experts suggest that these indicators are essential for formulating effective employment policies and promoting sustainable economic growth.
