Violent events are once again part of the panorama in the city of Cúcuta. In the last few hours, two men were murdered in isolated incidents and a body in a state of decomposition was found by a recycler.

In the first incident, a man identified as Carlos Alberto was shot dead when he arrived on his motorcycle to his place of residence on 28th Street between 14th and 15th Avenues in the Bellavista neighborhood, after watching the Colombian National Team match.

It was learned that the victim, approximately 40 years old, worked cleaning swimming pools and received nearly four gunshot wounds that ended his life. The Technical Investigation Corps (CTI) arrived at the scene of the events to carry out a technical inspection of the corpse and collect material that would clarify the homicide.

Another criminal act was recorded around 11 pm yesterday in the Colinas del Norte neighborhood of commune 6 of the city of Cúcuta.

It was learned that the victim was inside his home when two men entered and shot him in the abdomen. Despite being taken to a healthcare center, he died due to the severity of his injuries. The authorities are investigating whether this fact occurred. It happened in the middle of a robbery.

Finally, in the afternoon of yesterday, the authorities were alerted by a recycler about the presence of a body in a state of decomposition in a rainwater channel located in the Western Ring Road.

The Interinstitutional Homicide Brigade (Brinho) arrived at the scene of the incident to carry out a technical inspection of the body and was able to verify that it was a woman, apparently a street dweller, who at the moment has not been identified.

Likewise, it is unknown whether his death was natural or violent. This fact is the subject of investigation.
