With the aim of creating a favorable framework so that companies based in Salta can collaborate in the higher education, training and professionalization of young people from Salta, Congresswoman Sierra proposes creating a Promotion Regime for the Professionalization of Young People from Salta, which contemplates benefits and mentoring that involves companies and students.
“What we are looking for with this Regime is the professionalization of young people from Salta, that is, to train them so that they can access jobs in the mining, tourism, agro-industrial, etc. sectors. We want to find a legal framework so that companies, for one On the one hand, they collaborate through scholarships so that students can pursue their studies and, on the other hand, they provide mentoring and support in professional internships. This system differs from internships because, in this case, the hours of internships would be few and the amount of time required. objective is 100% training, not work,” said Sofía Sierra.
The project arises after dialogue with companies from different sectors, mainly mining, agriculture and tourism, who are concerned about the lack of qualified labor. With this initiative, it is proposed to collaborate in the hiring of qualified personnel, through a partial reduction of the tax on economic activities. This should be linked to the accreditation of financial support for students, accompanied by the creation of a professionalization program for exclusively educational purposes, with a maximum workload that prevents the denaturalization of the regime, and with periodic support (mentoring), whereby the company is also committed to monitoring the student’s progress in their career.
