Within the framework of the public tree plan, the Municipality accompanied the Jesús school that made the promise to care for the environment in Plaza España.

Carla Ríos, director of the initial and primary level of the Jesús school, stated that “in the month of the environment we have organized the promise of care and commitment to take care of the ecosystem that surrounds us” and remarked that “prior to this activity the students prepared on issues of recycling, forestation and preservation of flora and fauna.

For their part, the students expressed their joy for having planted new trees and issued a message to all citizens regarding caring for the environment in general.

Javier Vásquez, director of Planning and Forestation, explained that “on this occasion we have placed nine trees of the tipa, jacaranda and lapachos species that, due to their characteristics, can adapt to large spaces such as Plaza España.”

In this regard, the community is asked to take care of the new trees that are planted on public roads so that they can provide their various benefits once they surpass adulthood and reach a size appropriate for coexistence with society.
