He Ministry of Public health reports that, since the beginning of 2024 and until June 22, 13,547 cases of flu, a disease caused by the influenza A virus, were reported in Salta.
Children and adolescents are the most affected by this virus, since they represent 52.4% of the total cases, that is, 7,106 positive cases, including those from newborns to 19 years of age.
They are followed by young people, in the age group of 20 to 34 years, with 2,667, that is, 19.7%; and in third place by adults, in the age range of 35 to 64 years with 2,643, meaning 19.5%. Older adults represent 4.7%.
