Córdoba improves in Saber 11 Tests, but is still below the national average

The Department of Córdoba has shown progress in the results of the Saber 11 Tests in 2023, with an increase of 4 points in the average score compared to the previous year. However, despite this improvement, the department is still 23 points below the national average, according to the data revealed in the Departmental Development Plan 2024-2027.

The results of the Saber 11 Tests are a key indicator of the quality of education in the country, and the increase in Córdoba’s average score is a positive step towards improving education in the department.

However, the gap of 23 points with respect to the national average shows that there is still a long way to go to guarantee that students Cordobans receive a quality education that allows them to compete on equal terms with their peers at the national level.

The Departmental Development Plan 2024-2027 recognizes the importance of education as a fundamental pillar for progress and social equity. In this sense, the document proposes various strategies and programs focused on strengthening education at all levels, from early childhood to higher education.

Among the proposed actions are the improvement of educational infrastructure, teacher training and training, expanding coverage and access to education, especially in rural areasand the implementation of information and communication technologies in teaching and learning processes.

Likewise, the plan emphasizes the need to articulate the efforts of the different entities and actors involved in education, both at the departmental and national level, in order to combine efforts and resources in favor of educational quality.
