A delegation of businessmen from Córdoba and other parts of the country, in the case of our province led by the president of the ProCórdoba Agency, Pablo De Chiara, participate in the SelectUSA Investment Summit event that has been taking place since Sunday in the city of Washington.

The business, government and business meeting aims to attract investments to the United States, opening new opportunities to invest in the northern country, but it also constitutes a window to show the potential of our country and especially of Córdoba.

“We have decided to come since ProCórdoba carries out the investment agenda towards our province. The ecosystem that originates in these spaces is very large, and you can see the trends of what the United States wants to show,” De Chiara told TRIBUNA from the US capital.

“It is also important to have contact with the level of investors who attend these events and are willing to listen to other options,” he added.

“We have had several meetings with institutions and companies, to whom we have told some of the advantages of the province of Córdoba,” added the president of the ProCórdoba Agency.

“We also accompany the process of some companies from Córdoba that want to expand their borders and take on new markets,” he said.

Some of them have serious intentions of settling in the United States and thereby expanding their operations and in turn exporting from Córdoba. “With which several objectives are met on this trip, thanks to this event,” De Chiara explained.

“We are also looking with American companies and American states for some opportunities to partnershipalliances, between different states, especially those most similar to Córdoba to be able to see if, based on similarities or some coincidences, we can strengthen our global position or in some special vertical.”

“We have had the opportunity to talk with representatives of some state governments such as Illinois, which is very similar to Córdoba in terms of agricultural production. By exploring these common issues, opportunities may appear, and we have to be open to that,” De Chiara highlighted.

“Córdoba is open to business. We understand that it is a place that treats investors very well, so we come to share and highlight those values ​​in each of the talks we have.”

The business event began last Sunday and will close on Wednesday with talks and sessions new working.

A full agenda will then follow with contacts with representatives of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank, and other activities in the city of Washington, in order to learn about the tools and financing available.

The delegation was assembled at the request of the United States embassy in Argentina. Córdoba joined a delegation of businessmen from different provinces. Businessmen participating in software developers, agribusiness, and services.

The delegation also brings together businessmen and officials from Chile and Uruguay. “We are about 40 people in total, between the three countries,” said De Chiara.

“It is a high-level event, with talks happening all the time. In everything very dynamic. It is the top-level officials of the United States who end up giving their view on new trends in terms of industries and benefits. It brings together investors from all over the world. It is very important to be here because in some way we have the opportunity to connect with all of them,” indicated the representative from Córdoba.

“For us, everything inherent to new technologies is a value closely related to our agenda: it includes artificial intelligence, the electronics industry, and aerospace. These are aspects that Córdoba has and that in this event have been on everyone’s lips,” De Chiara responded.

“Food production is also very important, but in that area we believe that we already have a very important retraced path. We have great opportunities in the export of services, especially with high added value. And everything related to the knowledge industry.”

“We are accompanying the businessmen who have come, and with quite intense meetings to be able to capture some interest in Córdoba and attract investments,” he concluded.
