Érika, the mother from Chubut who recently gave birth to quadruplets in the city of Córdoba, shared her experience in dialogue with Chain 3expressed gratitude to the medical staff and spoke of the excitement of seeing her four children for the first time.

“The truth is that without words. We still cannot fall from emotion. With my husband we are really grateful with the establishment, because I had a beautiful cesarean section, with the surgeons who were always reassuring me,” said Érika.

“The surgeons were always reassuring me, with the anesthesiologists, the neonatologists, they really gave us a lot of peace,” the mother added.

The newborns, who came into the world prematurely, are currently on respirators at the Brigadier General Juan Bautista Bustos Provincial Maternity Hospital, but show signs of constant improvement. The girls weighed between 1,300 and 1,425 grams at 30 weeks of gestation, while the boy weighed 1,670 grams.

“The man came with an escort”, Erika joked during the interview, who said that she was already able to visit her children. Laura, Angeline, Victoria and Jonás join the four older daughters that the mother has with her partner. The probability of quadruplets being born spontaneously is one in 700,000 births, which makes this case truly exceptional.

“It’s a very big emotion. Yesterday I was talking to one of the girls and she recognized my voice and that has no words for a mother. That they are healthy is the most important thing“he reflected.

Erika currently lives in a borrowed house in Córdoba after moving from Trelew and called for solidarity to help the family with the basic needs for their babies: “The truth is that I am appealing to people’s solidarity, because we really have nothing. No strollers, no cribs, we need everything.”

The mother also said that received some clothes for babies. “I’m actually going to have five babies, because my other baby at home is two years old and she also wears diapers. Before, the deputy governor, Myrian Prunotto, came to offer me whatever might be within reach, who was going to appeal to our case “he explained.

Finally, Érika expressed her gratitude to the medical staff of the Provincial Maternity Hospital. “One of the doctors, Alicia, was there all the time and continues to visit me even though I already had the babies. She comes to see me twice a day in the room and that has no name. The truth is that I am very grateful.”
