Havana is the appropriate venue for a week (June 25 to 27) of celebrations for this professional entity strongly linked from the beginning to the tourism industry, at a time of recovery of this economic sector in the country.

This is a necessary update from the Bartenders Club of the Republic of Cuba (CCRC), transformed into the Association of Bartenders of Cuba (ACC), whose professionals have wide prestige in terms of quality care for travelers and training in academies and contests.

During this week, the most important media specialized in tourism highlight the celebration, such as the Spanish publication Excelencias Gourmet and media from that European nation with a strong connection with the island’s bartenders.

This institution pays tribute to its legacy with a program of activities that combines competition, culture and camaraderie in an atmosphere of tradition.

To begin the days, a welcome dinner was offered, followed by a briefing for the classic competitors and judges at the Vedado Hotel, since it is more of a competitive event.

During this day, the qualifying round of the Fabio Delgado in Memoriam auction will take place at the Bar Golfo of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, the venue. The plan includes the Salón 1930 of the Hotel Nacional de Cuba, with a flair exhibition and the presentation of the Guaragil cocktail.

On June 27, the International Cocktail Competition and the Centennial Cocktail will be held at Bar Golfo, in addition to a pairing or connection with Havana Club and Habano spirits, to later hold the final of the Fabio Delgado competition that will be awarded at the closing, scheduled for the evening of this day.

Founded on June 27, 1924, then as the Club de Cantineros de la República de Cuba, the current Association is the oldest of its kind in the world, the organizers of the celebrations said.

The ACC currently groups 1,500 specialists, of which 30 percent are women. This entity has the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) as its relationship body, is a member of the International Bartenders Association (IBA), and has the sponsorship of Cuban rum Havana Club.

This association is registered as the legal representative of the Cuban canteen school before the Ministry of Justice and the School of Hospitality and Tourism (Formatur).

One of the most relevant links in tourism in this country is related to gastronomy and canteens, with notable products such as Havana Club, considered one of the most important light rums in the international market and of which more than three are sold annually. million nine-liter boxes.
