This June 29 and 30, La Serena will bring together the best exponents of bodyboarding from the regional capital, Coquimbo and La Serena on the first date of the regional circuit.
The sports event, which is organized by the Conay Hermanas del Agua Sports Club in conjunction with the Totodrake and Mar Deporte y Sanación de Los Vilos clubs, will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Avenida del Mar at the height from the Poisson Surf School.
Fabiola González, representative of the Conay Club, indicated that the objective of this circuit is “to generate a regional team to be able to compete in the nationals and be able to see the national ranking in this sport.”
As a result of the above, competition will be held in the open ladies, open men, master 35+, junior and DK categories. “There is no gender or age that prevents people from being able to do the sport,” said González.
The activity is sponsored by the Maritime Government, the Municipality of La Serena and has the support of different sponsors.

“The idea of doing it on Avenida del Mar is to be able to spread the word that this sport needs, since we have a great lack of young athletes, mainly in La Serena and Coquimbo. We want the community to be able to see different disciplines that can be practiced in the sea and hopefully unite and be more in the water,” said the representative of the Conai Hermanas del Agua Club.
In this sense, Fabiola González invited the community to come to Avenida del Mar this weekend so that they can “get to know the sport, so that they can internalize and see the tricks that are aerial maneuvers that mix the style of surfing with acrobatics. more gymnastics.
