OSEP begins to require validation by Token – Secretary Mike’s Blog

The health insurance for public employees in Mendoza is beginning to use the authentication system called Token to authorize medical consultations and practices that do not require authorization, as indicated by the legal regulation published in the Official Gazette.

This Monday, OSEP Resolution 579/24 was published in the Official Gazette, where the authentication system called token is implemented.

In this first stage of implementation, the use of the Token will be for medical consultations and those practices that do not require prior authorization, both in own providers and agreed providers. Its use will progressively be extended to all the practices and benefits of Obra Social.

In the future, the token system will allow it to be used for remote authorizations of voucher discounts, elimination of the physical credential, authorization of prescriptions in pharmacies, identification of affiliates in ALMA for various procedures, among other applications.

According to the published rule, as of July 1, 2024, the Token will be, except for exceptions that may be contemplated, the only validation tool required for medical consultations and practices without prior authorization.

From Obra Social they report the following benefits of using token:

  • Automatically validates the affiliate’s identity ensuring their participation.
  • Controls the consumption of benefits.
  • It automatically settles the services actually provided by providers or institutions with an agreement, which favors the payment process.
  • Reduces fraud from false or improper benefits.
  • It helps waste paper and thus avoids harming the environment.
  • You can generate the token before leaving home as it lasts for 12 hours.

How should affiliates generate the token?

Step by Step

If you are already a Mi OSEP user, you should read the second step.

First. Enter My OSEP and create username and password

On first access, the affiliate must register as a user. For this action, the system will ask you:

  • Affiliate number.
  • OSEP card number: 16 digits that appear on the credential.
  • Birthdate.
  • Username: must contain between 5 and 25 characters.
  • Password: between 8 and 15 characters, made up of letters and numbers.
  • Valid email in which you will receive a message to enable your user.

Second. Generate token

The system offers many possibilities to access different services, but we are going to focus on generating a token for consultations and practices.

  • After accessing Mi OSEP with the username and password, you must click on the “Generate token” button and a 6-digit code will appear on the screen, which will last 12 hours before expiring. The member must tell the provider to verify his or her identity and confirm the procedure or consultation.
  • This action of generating a token must be repeated before performing each query or practice.
  • Each code/token serves one practice or query.

USE OF “MY OSEP” AND REGISTRATIONS IN THE SYSTEM FOR AFFILIATES

The personnel dependent on the DGE must unfailingly use MY OSEP to cover work absenteeism due to own illness or care of a sick family member, in this sense, as they are familiar with the account, if they have the need to generate a Token for future medical consultations, They should not do anything additional, since the Token option appears in the same virtual account.

To enter MI OSEP, you need a username and password. It is suggested to have the APP but it is not a requirement since you can enter MI OSEP in the web version.

However, for those who are teachers and guards who are new to the system and do not have a virtual account, they must register as active agents and holders, since this will help them to inform the licenses related to the control of absenteeism, care of a sick family member or others. social work procedures.

REGISTRATIONS: Those who are new and have not yet registered in the system must complete the registration process for OSEP affiliations as active agents and as dependent agents of the DGE. In the case of substitute teachers or guards

choose the “substitute assets” option and complete the affidavit form that the chat will provide, along with other requirements that you must send by WhatsApp (ID, salary receipt) if you do not have a salary receipt, present a scan of the certificate of service issued by the school stating that the substitute has already served a minimum of 30 days and continues.
