According to the Villavicencio Health Secretariat, to date 1,594 cases of dengue have been registered, with a weekly average of 69 new reports requiring medical attention.

It is worth mentioning that so far this year, three deaths related to this disease have been confirmed; two in adults aged 52 and 76, and one in a 12-year-old girl.
Given this situation, the municipal department has intensified its campaigns elimination of mosquito breeding sites in the most affected neighborhoods and implemented educational campaigns to inform the population about preventive measures.
