He Colombian Government strongly repudiated the recent events in Bolivia, after a sector of the Army rose up against the Government of Luis Arce and that a tank forcibly entered the Executive headquarters in the city of La Paz this Wednesday.

“The Government of the Republic of Colombia strongly repudiates the actions of some units of the Army of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in the vicinity of the Government Palace in the city of La Paz, which threaten the breakdown of the constitutional order in that country and directly attack against democracy and stability in the region“said the Colombian Foreign Ministry in a statement, in which they do not speak of a “coup d’état.”

“Colombia stands in solidarity with the brother people of Bolivia and its president Luis Arce, and demands that the institutional channels of dialogue and respect for human rights be reestablished“, concluded the organization.
