They are looking for a young man who disappeared while bathing in the San Juan reservoir

Civil Guard agents and firefighters from the Community of Madrid have been searching since early this afternoon for an 18-year-old boy who disappeared while bathing in the San Juan reservoir, sources from the Armed and Emergency Institute 112 have informed Europa Press.

The events occurred on the Muro beach. Four young people were spending the day in that area of ​​the swamp when one of them, 18 years old, went into the water but did not come out, so his friends went in to look for him but they did not succeed, so they warned at 3:10 p.m. this Wednesday at 112.

Divers from the Special Group of Underwater Activities of the Civil Guard have gone to the place, searching for the teenager in the depths of the area where he disappeared, while two specialized units of Firefighters from the Community of Madrid do so with boats in the surface and surrounding areas.

A team from Summa-112 and another from the Red Cross, as well as agents from the Local Police of San Martín de Valdeiglesias and the Local Police of Pelayos de la Presa, have also moved to that point with advance notice. The tracking area remains cordoned off, the same sources have indicated.

The Civil Guard is carrying out 40-minute dives reaching up to 20 meters deep and has searched approximately 1,000 square meters.
